Abstract
This study is a qualitative descriptive study conducted on eighth-grade students. The study was conducted with the aim of describing students' mathematical literacy skills in solving HOTS questions. Mathematical literacy skills are outlined based on OECD indicators, which include communication, mathematization, problem-solving strategies, and reasoning and justification. The results of the study indicate that students with high mathematical ability can demonstrate all indicators of mathematical literacy skills, while those with moderate and low ability only meet some of the indicators of mathematical literacy skills.
