Analysis of Word Formation in Narrative Text Material in Grade 4 Elementary School Teaching Module

Abstract

Learning narrative texts at the elementary school (SD) level has an important role in developing the skill of telling an event or series of events chronologically. Teaching modules as the main learning resource are crucial instruments in supporting this learning. This article aims to analyze word formation in narrative text material in the teaching module for grade 4 elementary school. The research method used is the analysis of words contained in the narrative text learning module. The results of the study show that word formation analysis can provide a deeper understanding of the structure of narrative texts and the implications of the meanings contained in them. This research has important implications in curriculum development, language learning and evaluation of the effectiveness of learning methods applied at the elementary level. Thus, understanding the formation of words in narrative text material becomes a strong foundation to improve the quality of language learning at the elementary level and help students develop communication skills necessary in daily life.
