PENGENALAN PROSES MEMBATIK IBU-IBU PKK SEBAGAI UPAYA MELESTARIKAN BUDAYA BATIK TULIS DI DESA BECIRONGENGOR

Abstract

The purpose of this community service is to introduce the process of making written batik to PKK women in Becirongengor village, so that written batik is more in demand by the community, in addition to printed batik. Because the price of written batik is considered very expensive and unaffordable. The hope is that written batik can be worn by anyone, without fear of the fairly expensive price. The method used in this service is a demonstration method that contains knowledge about the process of making written batik, from making a pattern or motif drawing, then the process of pencantingan with malam, then the process of coloring and casting the malam until it fades, to the process of drying the cloth that has been batiked. This demonstration method is a method of education and information for PKK women about the process of making written batik, so that written batik can be used by anyone, not from certain circles, and written batik is not inferior to printed batik.
