INTRODUCTION TO BATIK WITH SHIBORI TECHNIQUE TO INCREASE THE CREATIVITY OF GRADE V STUDENTS OF SDN BECIRONGENGOR
Abstract
Shibori batik technique in a community service activity at SDN Becirongengor Sidoarjo. As a form of art and culture that has become an Indonesian identity, shibori batik combines traditional batik principles with Japanese binding techniques to create unique and diverse fabric patterns. This activity involved fifth grade students who were introduced to the process of making shibori batik with a practical method that was easy to understand. With the help of students as facilitators, students are given the opportunity to explore their creativity through environmentally friendly coloring techniques. The results of this activity, in the form of handkerchiefs with tie dye patterns, showed the students' enthusiasm and the successful implementation of the training method. This article also recommends further evaluation to improve the results of the activity and understand more deeply the factors that influence the success of the shibori technique in the future.
