STUDI KOMPARATIF PENGGUNAAN KAHOOT DAN WORDWALL DENGAN MODEL TGT TERHADAP LITERASI MATEMATIS SISWA SMP

Abstract

Indonesian students' mathematical literacy remains below average, as indicated by the 2018 PISA results. Triangle similarity learning requires strong mathematical literacy, however monotonous teaching methods reduce student enthusiasm. This study aims to determine whether there is a significant difference in students’ mathematical literacy between those taught using Kahoot and those taught using Wordwall in the context of triangle similarity learning with the TGT model and which is more effective. This research is a quantitative study using a quasi-experimental method. Data were collected through tests and worksheets, then test data analyzed using an independent samples t-test. The results show a significant difference (sig. (2-tailed) 0.042 < 0.05) between the use of Kahoot and Wordwall. The average posttest score of the Wordwall class (84.96) was higher than that of the Kahoot class (81.73), indicating that Wordwall is more effective in enhancing mathematical literacy. Wordwall with the TGT model can serve as an alternative interactive learning media to improve students’ mathematical literacy.
